The DIY Guide to Waterfowlaing in New Zealand

THE smiles of my mates said it all. It wasn’t just a reflection of the amazing hunt we just had, but rather the culmination of friendships and comradery forged after hours in blinds, struggling through swamps and climbing hills. The successes and the failures all led us to that point. I took a moment to take in the picture-perfect surroundings that we found ourselves in. We had just finished an epic hunt on the mighty canada goose in the high country of New Zealand. At that moment I remember thinking “I live in paradise”.

Because of the great opportunities I had at the time, It came as a complete shock to everyone, including myself, when not long after that fabulous hunt I made the decision to set off for a year away on an OE.
