SO BRAVE
Rocking my little girl back and forth in my arms, my heart was bursting with love.
It was December 2016, and my daughter, Ava, was two-months-old.
‘You’re such a smiler,’ I cooed, as Ava grinned away.
Alongside my son Adam, then five, I felt like the luckiest mum in the world.
While Ava’s dad wasn’t in the picture, those first few weeks were perfect.
We were in a constant cycle of eat, sleep, cuddle, repeat.
Although it wasn’t always easy, I adored being a mum.
But as I rocked Ava to sleep that afternoon in December, I noticed something on the back of her head.
