‘There’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes’ is variously attributed to Billy Connelly, Alfred Wainwright and an unknown Scandinavian. It has been used as a marketing slogan for a well-known outdoor brand and it really, really annoys me. I realise it is meant to be about being prepared and correctly clothed, but it is so crass.
