It’s a knockout in Scarborough!

Much of our journey to Scarborough ’83 was on the A1, and in the 80s the road changed from a single carriageway through many small towns and villages, all of which have been bypassed now, to a dual carriageway, to a motorway, and back again, a much more interesting ride than you’ll get today. There was one old fellow who wouldn’t forget that weekend in a hurry; he was riding his pushbike through one of these villages as a couple of dozen scooters passed him.
