HONOURS EVEN AS MITCHELL AND BAPTIE SHARE CLASSICS CROWN

 Bruce Mitchell secured his second successive Scottish Classic Sports and Saloons title after finishing tied on points withAlastair Baptie as the Scottish Motor Racing Club season drew to a close at Knockhill last weekend.

The pair were the dominant forces in their respective classes, with Mitchell (Lotus Europa TC) and Baptie (Fiat X1/9) winning all six available rounds.

Mitchell’s superior outright race results across the three-round season was all that split the two drivers.

As has become the norm for the Classics in recent years, the title battle has been a veritable ebb and flow during the reduced 2020 season. .
