I write this in early October with four major UK sales to take place culminating in the H J Pugh Imbert May sale on October 29-30 the biggest of its kind this year. Like last month, the September market was very buoyant. The Scottish Symington sale coming out better than expected with tractors now travelling to New Zealand, Canada, and Holland from it, but the majority staying in Scotland although some travelled to Devon and Kent including the star lot the 1915 J I Case 12/25.
SALE OF THE YEAR
October 30 and 31 sees the dispersal sale of the entire private collection of Imbert May at Osborne Farm, Pocombe Bridge, Exeter EX4 2HD comprising some 240 vintage and classic tractors plus implements and spares. The sale features a variety of models from many manufacturers including Fordson, Ford and County/Roadless derivatives, David Brown, Case, International, Minneapolis-Moline, Allis-Chalmers, and John Deere.
