Massey ferguson 65 takes another step forward

In the last issue I had just opened the engine up on the Elwood’s MF 65, which saw me remove the cylinder head, so now I was dismantling more to get further into the engine. As with all Perkins engine Massey Ferguson tractors from the 1960’s and 70’s, to get the sump off, the front axle needed to be removed, so this was my next job.
Front axles can be heavy so getting them into three sections makes it a lot easier. Firstly, the two nuts securing the bolts that adjust the width of the tractor were undone. Then
