VIRTUAL TRAINING PLATFORMS

Until the advent of virtual training systems such as Sufferfest or Zwift, indoor training for triathletes was previously a last-resort option for time-crunched triathletes avoiding bad weather or night skies. Staring blankly at a wall or watching television over the hum of the turbo trainer’s resistance unit was classed as the entertainment.

Thankfully, in 2020, there are now a variety of training platforms designed to challenge and entertain riders of all abilities. And with the recent lockdown issues, even those who’d normally steer clear of the turbo are creating pain caves at home and powering into a virtual world.
