Superheroes are omnipresent these days, jumping out of the pages of comic books and onto the screens of billion-dollar blockbusters. This makes superheroes a compelling subject to shoot – but as much fun as it is to photograph a cosplayer, you might struggle to get your favourite character in a suitably dynamic pose.

So rather than a cosplaying model, try picking up an action figure or statuette of your chosen superhero instead. Flying or leaping characters work best, so
