“A lot of the points he raises are common myths the EV community have dealt with many times. There are also tropes and misinformation the oil companies keep seeding and spreading and there is some research, widely quoted by the anti-EV lobby, or by controversialists, which, when you look at it more closely, doesn’t really stack up,” says Colin.
Colin is an intensive care specialist at Auckland City Hospital. He owns a Nissan Leaf and was on the waiting list for a Tesla Model 3 for three years, signing up almost as soon as the model was announced. Other than that, he has no financial involvement in the EV industry — but he is passionate enough about EV technology to spend time on an EV stand at technology and car shows to help spread the word.
