There is strong scientific evidence that an increase in greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and chlorofluorocarbons that are attributable to human activities, will result in global warming. According to the most recent temperature analysis by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the global average temperature has increased by approximately 0.8°C since the year 1880.
