Advocacy in Action

The ABAA has, for several years, been represented at many aviation forums and meeting groups.

These include the Infrastructure and Transport minister’s General Aviation Advisory Group (GAAG), the Australian Strategic Air Traffic Management Group (ASTRA), The Australian Aviation Associations Forum (TAAAF), Brisbane Airport Runway Demand Management meetings and Melbourne and Perth Airport Capacity Enhancement meetings.

Also, meetings have been held with the operators of several of the 22 government-owned airports, which were privatised in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
