A slip in the night

Coming up soon we will have a feature on another ultra rare Honda that has been masterfully restored by the Marnix Deibert/Sebas van de Broek team for Mike Buttinger at CMS. This is a RC70F (above), imported to USA in 1958 and raced by the famous Preston Petty, who went on to fame as the producer of plastic mudguards, fuel tanks and side covers as the dirt bike scene exploded.
Bill’s award
On November 24th, Bill Horsman became the 70th person to be inducted into the Motorcycling South Australia Hall of Fame. The ceremony, held at the Night of Champions at Titanium Security Arena, Adelaide, attracted over 200 guests. Bill’s career spanned 50 years and as well as numerous Australian Grand prix and TT titles, included a successful tilt at the Manx Grand Prix in the Isle of Man, culminating in a win in 1997. He finally hung up his helmet in 2008 and today enjoys pistol shooting. Bill’s story was covered in OBA issues 65 and 66.
