The keeper’s view
What a season. Few will have shot without at least one soaking. I don’t remember such a wet winter since I left the west coast of Ireland, a place that knows a thing or two about rain.
Though no one wishes to shoot on a really wet day, many a woodland gamekeeper will by now have realised wet and windy weather is not all bad news. Results are generally good in terms of percentages shot, straying is minimal
