Sleeplessness is one of the biggest problems facing us right now. Constantly being connected, FOMO, bad diet, blue light, lack of exercise, getting older and too little downtime all contribute to very bad sleep hygiene. And we all know what that means: bad health and weight gain, which leads to… less sleep. It’s a vicious cycle.

1 MEDITATE
I know what you’re thinking: ‘I don’t have time to meditate for 20 minutes a day.’ But, as the Zen Buddhists are fond of saying, ‘You should meditate for 20 minutes a day, unless you’re too busy. Then you should meditate for an hour a day.’ The point is, we are always too busy, which means our brains have no time for stillness – they’re always on the go. In the West, we tend to view meditation as a bit shoo-wah or just something hippies do, but learning to calm your mind and still your busy brain is a practical skill that, once learned, will help you sleep for the rest of your life.
