THAT’S A WRAP

I’ve owned an old Gibson Les Paul Junior for donkey’s years. I really like it, but it’s always suffered from poor intonation. I don’t think it helps that I use 0.009 gauge strings. Anyway, the guitar is fitted with an old-school wrap-around bar bridge with no provision for intonation adjustment. This combined bridge/tailpiece is looking a bit tired now as well, so I’d like to replace it with something fresher.

Here’s the thing. I want to improve the guitar’s intonation and tone without compromising its character. I’ve seen a bunch of wrap-around bridge/tailpiece units for sale, but I don’t know where to start. Do you have any experience of these things? I’d be interested in your
