Q Hey Myleene, we’re really excited about your launch of MyBody, a 12-week home workout programme. What was the inspiration behind it?

Being able to do something for myself and for my girlfriends that would be honest, realistic and effective. There are so many quick fixes out there that leave people eventually feeling worse off than before and deflated when they don’t consistently work. I’m the kind of girl that likes to see results and I also wanted to show a true portrayal of what it’s actually going to take but with a fun approach so you’ll keep at it. We filmed the DVDs in one take with no edits, mistakes and jokes included, so when you’re doing it in your living room, it’s the real deal. Both Louis [Rennocks, the fitness trainer who worked with Myleene on the DVDs] and I were slipping over in our own sweat at one point but we kept it all in.

Q As a child, were you always sporty and active? Did you enjoy PE activities at school?

The school I went to made you choose either sport or music. You couldn’t do both. That says a lot
