Brad Biggs' Week 14 NFL rankings

Last week's ranking in parentheses.

1. Ravens 10-2 (1)

With four weeks remaining in the regular season, there is no doubt the Ravens are the top team in the league. Not after Justin Tucker's 49-yard field goal sailed through the uprights as time expired, lifting the Ravens to a 20-17 victory over the visiting 49ers and propelling them to their franchise-best eighth consecutive victory. The Ravens also have beaten the Patriots, Seahawks, Texans and Rams, so they've gone through a gauntlet. They have two games remaining against teams currently above .500 - at the Bills next week and home against the Steelers in Week 17. Now it's all about playing for the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs.

2. Seahawks 10-2 (4)

A run defense that has struggled at times played really well against the Vikings, and the Seahawks rushed for 219 yards Monday night in a 37-30 victory. The win puts the Seahawks just ahead of the 49ers based on the head-to-head meeting last month. The NFC West could come down to the Week 17 rematch at CenturyLink Field. Quarterback Russell Wilson was supported by a stout ground game as Chris Carson (102 yards) and Rashaad Penny (74) each scored touchdowns.

The winner of that game will have a leg up for the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, and because of the Saints' history at home, indoors versus on the road, particularly outdoors on grass, it's a huge matchup. The 49ers defense should be poised for the challenge. We'll see how quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense respond.

4. Saints 10-2 (5)

After a win over the Falcons on Thanksgiving that secured the
