Brad Biggs' Week 16 NFL rankings

Last week's ranking in parentheses.

1. Ravens 12-2 (1)

Lamar Jackson likely sealed up the MVP award with his performance Thursday night. Playing with a quad injury, he threw five touchdown passes and rushed for 86 yards. He has 33 touchdown passes and only six interceptions and has rushed for 1,103 yards. Only seven running backs have more yards this season, and Jackson is only 111 yards shy of 3,000 passing yards for the season. The only question now is if the Ravens can hang on to claim the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. They travel to Cleveland this week for a rematch with the Browns, who crushed them, 40-25, on Sept. 29, their last loss. The Ravens finish the regular season hosting the Steelers.

2. Saints 11-3 (3)

Drew Brees moved past Peyton Manning as the NFL's all-time leader in passing touchdowns as he fired four in a 34-7 blowout of the Colts on Monday night. Brees completed 29 of 30 passes, an incredible feat, and the NFL's best completion percentage (96.7%) in a game for a quarterback with a minimum of 20 attempts. He has 541 touchdown passes (and counting), two more than Manning.

3. Chiefs 10-4 (4)

It appears the Chiefs are starting to roll at the right time. They won their fourth consecutive game Sunday, whipping the Broncos, 23-3, in a driving snowstorm as Patrick Mahomes threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Travis Kelce was unstoppable - he was targeted 13 times and caught 11 passes for 142 yards. The Chiefs, gunning for the No. 2 seed and a first-round by, close out the regular season by facing the Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field and then playing host to the Chargers.

4. 49ers 11-3 (2)

Conventional wisdom was the 49ers were due for a letdown after a grueling three-game stretch with a home win over the Packers, a road loss to the Ravens and a riveting victory over the Saints in New Orleans. That letdown arrived in the form of a
