Brad Biggs' Week 13 NFL rankings

Last week's ranking in parentheses.

1. Ravens 9-2 (1)

The NFL MVP is Lamar Jackson's award to lose after the Ravens went to Los Angeles on Monday night and cruised past the Rams. Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has seen just about everything in his career, so the matchup had quite a bit of intrigue and the Ravens dominated the game from the outset. Next is another interesting matchup - power versus power - as the Ravens return home to host the 49ers in what could be a Super Bowl LIV preview.

2. 49ers 10-1 (5)

The 49ers kicked off a tough three-game stretch by blowing out the Packers, 37-8, on Sunday night. Next up are trips to Baltimore and New Orleans, potential previews of the Super Bowl and the NFC championship game. Tight end George Kittle returned from an ankle injury to put up 129 yards on six receptions, including a 61-yard touchdown. It was a dominant effort across the board. Now we'll see how the Niners fare when they have to travel across the country to face the Ravens.

3. Patriots 10-1 (2)

Questions remain about the offense, but the Patriots defense did a number on the Cowboys' potent attack in miserable weather at Gillette Stadium as the Patriots reached 10 wins for the 17th consecutive season. It was the 18th straight regular-season win at home and the Patriots are now unbeaten in their last 21 at home, including postseason. They have allowed 117 points and are on pace to give up 170 for the season. With the Bengals, Bills and Dolphins to close out the schedule, it's possible the Patriots could challenge the 2000 Ravens (165) for the fewest points allowed in a 16-game season. The Patriots defense has allowed only nine touchdowns. The 2000 Ravens and 1985 Bears hold the record for fewest allowed in a 16-game season with 16.

4. Seahawks 9-2 (4)
