    DAMSON IN DISTRESS

    I attach a photo of a damson fruit which has become deformed and split. At the top of the picture is a normal fruit. Cutting into the deformed fruit, I can’t see any maggots or any other pest. About 30-40% of the fruit seems to be affected.
