Reviews for Straight Talk about House Plants
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The plants in this book were very basic beginner houseplants. Absolutely nothing wrong with that especially for a black thumb. There is such a wide variety of house plants, and I was hopeful to see more abstract material.

I dedicate to everyone that loves houseplants, especially those of us that have a difficult time raising them.
This step by step written photo guide will walk you through the process of watering, care, transplanting and procreation of new plants.
My thanks to family and friends that kept saying, You should write a book! No, REALLY you should write a book!
I took your encouragement to heart, and here it is!
Mac, Pam, Jennifer, Becky, and Dave thanks for being my proof readers!

Some books would lead one to believe that raising happy healthy plants is a difficult task. Watering, soil types, fertilizing, sunlight, low sun, direct sun or indirect sun; it’s enough to make a person go mad! I’ll let you know you know just what to do with each of the plants discussed in the following pages.
You won’t find the technical names for anything in this book. I’m not a technical name kind of gal. When it comes to plants I just like having them around!
I’m here to show you it’s not that difficult to raise, transplant and propagate them! This book will show you step by step, photo by photo, the way to happy healthy plants without all the fuss! It took years to figure out the secret. I tried talking to them, pampering them, fertilizing at the appropriate times, etc. etc. etc., they still died. Then I started what I will tell you in this book. Now, I have so many my husband had to build a large green house to hold them all!
The plants covered are Pothos, (Golden, Marble Queen, Jade, and Neon), the Ponytail, Jade plant, Spider (also
