‘N’ Class 37 bogie lift

MODELLERS often express dissatisfaction with the relationship between the bogie sideframes and body of the otherwise useful Graham Farish ‘N’ gauge Class 37.

It is a reliable model with six-axle drive and a mechanism which is smooth and powerful after it has been correctly run in and lubricated. The locomotive sits a fraction high to allow the wheels to clear the underside of the body and the bogie sideframe mouldings are a tad wide to allow the wheels clearance for running through sharp train set curves. Despite this, the buffers do line up with those on other ‘N’ gauge models, suggesting that the body mounted bufferbeams have been adjusted slightly.
