AURORA, Ill. - A gunman opened fire inside an Aurora manufacturing plant Friday afternoon, killing five people and wounding five police officers who had responded to the scene before he was killed in a shootout, police said.
The shooting stunned Aurora - Illinois' second largest city - and reverberated throughout the state and nation, becoming the latest mass shooting in the United States.
