I died from laryngeal cancer when I was 23. It started with a sore throat, then it became difficult to swallow and speak.
A biopsy revealed the bad news: I had a malignant growth on my larynx.
Chemotherapy was started. It didn't prove effective, and the doctors recommended I have my larynx removed, in a last-ditch effort to stem the growth.
