Jenny and I rode to Spain’s east coast, to a town called Denia, between the cities of Valencia and Alicante. We found a villa close to the beach and stayed there two and a half months, about 75 days, a few of them happy. I don’t remember meeting any other Americans there.
While we were in Denia, Lyndon Johnson beat Barry Goldwater for president, not that Johnson’s victory did much to cheer us.
