We all know that stir-fries are fantastic, quick, versatile, simple and super-healthy meals you can whip up in a flash for one or many. So why not have your stir-fry ingredients on hand ready to harvest and cook year round?

Here’s a quick roundup of the handiest plants to grow for your wok.

BABY CORN, ZEA MAYS

This is a cereal grain form of corn (maize) that is basically harvested while still very young and before the mature kernels form. They can be eaten whole and either raw or cooked.

Corn is best grown from seed direct sown into the garden during the warmer months. It requires a sunny location, consistent watering while growing, and regular applications
