There are no right or wrong nuts when it comes to creating nut butter. Peanuts, cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts — they all produce a tasty nut butter without the maker needing to add any extra ingredients to the mix. This is great news for those who love a peanut or almond butter because nuts are full of heart-healthy mono-unsaturated fats.

That’s it! “Nut butters are very simple, really,” explains Nick Sheridan from 99th Monkey. “That’s one of the things we love most about them. It’s also why it’s important to source high-quality organic nuts,” he adds.
