Dahleen Glanton: Maxine Waters shows that gutsiness is in the eye of the beholder

U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters isn't afraid to say what's on her mind, and when she does, she doesn't pull any punches.

She isn't politically correct. In fact, you can bet that almost every time she opens her mouth, she is going to say something that makes somebody mad. She's combative and tough, but dedicated and true to her core beliefs.

She doesn't follow political rules. She is her own person.

That's what Waters' supporters admire about her. And it's what drives her
