About this series
Jesus Christ was a Zen master?
In at least one version of early Christian belief, he sure sounded like one.
Early Christianity was far from the gentle and unified belief system that we have been led to believe it was. In fact, in the earliest stages of its development, interpretations of the meanings of Jesus’ teachings varied widely, were hotly debated, and differing views were not tolerated well at all.
The Jesus narrative that eventually won out was passed on to future generations while the losers had their books burned and adherents imprisoned, tortured, or put to death. Talk about issues with freedom of religion!
Luckily, an early Christian group called the “Gnostics”, in seeing their beloved books burned and adherents mistreated, buried their most important works in hopes of future discovery.
These works were discovered in Nag Hammadi, Egypt in 1945 and have shed quite a bit of light on an alternative and very different interpretation of Jesus’ teachings—one that was widely followed in the early years of Christianity, yet more closely resembles the “enlightenment” teachings of Zen and Buddhism.
The Zen-like nature of the Gnostic’s Jesus is the focus of this work.

- The Tao Te Ching 101: a modern, practical guide, plain and simple
1
TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE WITH THE TAO TE CHING, SIMPLIFIED! Learn to work with the principles of the universe instead of against them. Imagine having an “instruction manual for life”; one that could simultaneously enhance both the everyday practical aspects of your existence as well as the spiritual. What would your life look like then? How would it feel? Dr. Matthew Barnes, chemist, biochemist, doctor, and bestselling author of The Emerald Tablet 101, The Hermetica 101, The Kybalion 101, The Bhagavad Gita 101, and Jesus Christ, Zen Master, presents his interpretation of the Tao Te Ching. And he does so in a way that is “lovely” and “easier to understand”. (Quotes are from reader's reviews). What makes this translation different is that it is a modern, simplified interpretation. One that updates the ancient language to a more modern understanding, yet without touching the spirit of Lao Tzu’s timeless work, or altering his guidance towards working with the principles of the universe instead of against them. “If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place.” (Lao Tzu) Transform your life now. - Albert Einstein, Zen Master: The top 54 sayings of a modern day Zen master

Albert Einstein was a Zen master? I think so, and I aim to prove it. Imagine understanding how Einstein viewed the world, the Universe, and God. What if you could have the same understanding? How could it change your own outlook on life? Dr. Matthew Barnes, chemist, biochemist, doctor, and bestselling author of The Emerald Tablet 101, The Hermetica 101, The Tao Te Ching 101, The Bhagavad Gita 101, and Jesus Christ, Zen Master presents his case for Einstein as being not only one of the most influential scientists of our time but also one of the most spiritual (in his own, unique way). In this work, you’ll discover: • In what ways Einstein’s views of reality coincide with those of some of the greatest Zen masters to have ever lived, past and present. • Why Einstein considered himself to be “a deeply religious nonbeliever”. (Do you know what he considered himself to be instead?) • Why Einstein felt his viewpoints on God to be a “somewhat new kind of religion”. (Hint: It turns out that his views may not have been all that new, but really really old instead.) • How you too can begin to enjoy Einstein’s view of the world, the Universe, and God. “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” -Albert Einstein Change your outlook on life. - The Tao Te Ching 201: Deeper meaings, simplified

Learn to think like the great Chinese philosophers of old and swim with the flow of life, no longer against it. The ancient Chinese sages were reported to have lived extremely long lives yet to have retained their youth, vigor, and a childlike humor well into their latter years. How? By discovering and aligning themselves with the underlying Intelligence of life. In only 81 brief and truly non-denominational chapters you will discover how to do the same. This is Dr. Barnes’ second translation of the Tao Te Ching, and it goes a bit deeper than his first. Still, he did his best to simplify the concepts so as to make them more digestible to the modern reader. Want to discover what brought the Taoists such joy? Then scroll up and grab your copy now!
