--

Okimi sighed. "You won't stay here, I know. When Koharu arrives and tears the place apart like the destructive dickhead that she is, you'll leave with her."

"What?"

"Koharu is on her way here to . . . aha. 'Rescue' you."

"Oh, no . . ." Sakura moaned and dropped her face into her hands.

Okimi frowned and tilted her head. "Hmm. Not the response I was expecting. I thought you'd rub it in my face and make smug declarations about Koharu kicking my ass or some such."

--

Koharu reached back and pulled her handgun from the back of her jeans. She slid out the magazine and checked for rounds. It was half-empty. She started sliding in bullets.

"You can't go in there alone," said Nahoko in amazement. "You're crazy! They'll kill you! Dragon Blood women are giant muscleheads that --!"

"You saw what I did to Katsura's teahouse," said Koharu calmly. She glanced briefly at Nahoko and went back to loading her gun as she said, "Could this newfound concern be actual worry for me?"

Nahoko snorted. "Don't be r-ridiculous! Go in there and get your ass shot, then. See if I care!"

Koharu laughed softly, sliding another bullet in the magazine.

--

"I always told Kaida she was a fool for signing up with Shira Crew," Okimi said darkly and shook her head, black spikes of hair tumbling in her furious eyes. "And now, because of that psycho bitch, she's got every gang in Koshima and Nokira Corp after her --"

"It isn't Koharu's fault --!"

"Oh, but it is," said Okimi with a weary smile. She looked down at Sakura with something like sympathy in her dark eyes. "And of course, you would defend her. You're in love with her." She touched Sakura's cheek with a fond finger, and Sakura blushed and looked quickly away.

"I am not in love with Koharu!" Sakura said hotly.

"Oh, but you are," said Okimi, amused. "And she's in love with you, and you will cling to each other even as the world burns around you, and so it shall be until the end of time. More the fool I to think I could get between you." She reached inside her blazer and pulled out a gun. "But what kind of queenpin would I be if I didn't try? When Koharu comes through that door, I'll make you mine, I'll shoot her dead --"

Sakura thought her heart stopped in her chest, and she grabbed Okimi's arm, cutting her off. "Please, don't! Don't kill her! Okimi – please!"

Okimi looked down at Sakura with the same pity. "Koharu is scum, Sakura. She's no good for you. I'd be doing you a favor, honestly."

"She's scum," Sakura admitted, laughing through sudden tears, "but she is my scum."

Okimi laughed. "Fair enough," she said, putting the gun back inside her blazer.

When butch cyborg Koharu and femme catgirl Sakura wind up pulling a heist together, the sexual tension is so thick, the air is like Jell-O. But unfullfilled lust is the least of their problems. The planned heist never comes to pass as Nozomi, queenpin of Koshima City and Sakura's crime boss, randomly decides to betray them, sending her neko agents in droves to capture them. As they run for their lives, crashing hover cars and dodging bullets, Koharu and Sakura find themselves falling in love. Don't miss the first installment of this cyberpunk lesbian romance series! -- "I'm not completely useless, you know!" shouted Sakura, following close behind.   "Will you keep your voice down?" said Koharu irritably. "We don't need the cops involved in this, and you're drawing attention, lots of cameras in this zone --"   Sakura didn't seem to understand the danger they were in, and she plunged on loudly, "I -- I'm one of the greatest hackers in Mitama, you know! There's a reason I was chosen by Nozomi for this heist!"  "Really? I thought maybe you sat on her face," said Koharu, still glancing around, wading through cars. She checked one, shook her head, and moved on to another.   "Oooo!" Sakura howled angrily, and Koharu smiled to herself as she kept walking.  -- It wasn't long before a sleek black car pulled up behind them. Sakura glanced in the rearview mirror and recognized the car immediately as belonging to one of Nozomi's agents. So did Koharu, who muttered, "Goddammit."  Koharu glanced sideways at Sakura. "Silly question: can you shoot a gun from a moving vehicle?"  Sakura turned pink. "Do what?!"  Koharu rolled her eyes. "How did I ever get stuck with. . .?" she muttered, and Sakura blushed in shame, feeling useless.  "Come here, take the wheel," said Koharu, and when Sakura sat there in confusion, she repeated loudly, "C'mere!"  Feeling foolish, Sakura scooted across the seat and into Koharu's lap. She blushed a little and felt her sex pulse to life: the feel of Koharu's hard thighs and abs under her backside! She could tell that Koharu was just as aroused, for her strong hands shook a little when they took Sakura's and placed them on the u-shaped steering wheel.  "Drive," ordered Koharu, scooting from under Sakura and into the passenger's seat.   -- Koharu seemed to be thinking of their dinner at Yotosan's as well, for she laughed softly and said, "You make me feel like a girl again. Like I'm in high school or some shit, and you said you'd be my girlfriend after I asked you in a note."   Sakura giggled. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"   "It's a good thing," said Koharu.   "Hold me, Koharu," Sakura whispered happily.   Koharu obeyed, holding Sakura tightly from behind and kissing her messy red hair. Sakura purred happily under the kiss, glad to feel the warm wall of Koharu's strong arms around her again. She had never imagined that being sent on her first heist would end this way, but she was very, very glad it had.

When Sakura is kidnapped by queenpin Kumi Katsura, the four mercenaries scramble to save her. While held hostage, Sakura learns the legend of the goddess Shira, and as a result, memories of her old life begin to unlock – as well as memories of her love for Miyu and Miyu's rivalry with Koharu for her affections. Don't miss the second installment of this lesbian romance series!   -- "How much do you know of the goddess Shira?" Kumi asked, watching Sakura quietly from the bed.  "Not much," Sakura admitted, chewing.  Kumi nodded, as if that was to be expected. "Then listen, child, and listen well. A long time ago, when the world was still green, the goddess Shira walked among mortals and lived among us. Eventually, she fell in love with the mortal Taki. Other mortals grew envious of their love, and the goddess was slain."  Sakura frowned. "But . . . how can you slay a goddess?"  Kumi smiled. "You can't. Not really. In despair, Taki buried the goddess beneath an ancient maple tree, whose red leaves shed like blood over the grave. On the third day, the goddess Shira rose again to walk the earth with her beloved Taki."  "And they lived happily ever after?" mocked Sakura sullenly and shoved more noodles in her cheek.   -- The sound of shattering glass made Sakura scream, and she lifted her head, watching in shock as Miyu came flying through the window. The pink-haired cyborg flipped and landed in a squat in the middle of the room. As she reached back for her katana, her menacing eyes were fixed with hatred upon Akari, who scowled and leapt to her feet at once, ripping her own katanas from her back. Miyu leapt to her feet, Akari ran at her, and Sakura watched, mouth open, as the two women fell into terrible battle. And they were battling for her!     -- "So what did we do in there?" Sakura asked to change the subject and nodded at the nightclub. Her tone was playful, and she was glad when Miyu grinned around the e-cig in her teeth.   "I taught you why it's called the Pink Rocket," Miyu answered. "See, they give out free bullets to first-time visitors, and since it was your first time. . . ."   Sakura's nose scrunched up. "Why a bullet?"  Miyu laughed. "No, baby, not that kinda bullet," she said.

When Sakura overdoses on Z Balls, a furious Ren kicks Miyu out of Shira. As the others try to revive Sakura from her comatose state, Miyu sets out in search of the one person who can help Sakura. Unfortunately, she has to go through her ex-girlfriend to find them. Sakura, meanwhile, wonders lost in the realm of Zanami, goddess of Death, and it is there that she slowly learns the truth of her origins. Don't miss the third installment of this lesbian harem romance!   -- Kaida paused. "Do you want me to stop?" she whispered. She sounded breathless, strained. Sakura smiled: Kaida was desperately aroused.   "No," Sakura whispered. "Don't stop." She shivered when Kaida started to kiss her neck, and the big woman whispered between kisses, "I missed you . . . so much . . ."   -- "Take me with you when you leave here!" the girl whispered urgently.  Miyu's brows went up. "What? Why?"  "Because you're beautiful and strong!" the girl admitted, blushing. "And so are your friends! I saw what they did to the teahouse! There were only three of them and they wrecked this place! And after K-Katsura's capture—"  Capture? Miyu thought in surprise. It was unlike Izumi to capture her enemies. She usually left no one breathing after such takeovers.  "—I don't want to stay here and pour Izumi's tea!" the girl went on helplessly. "You can protect me! Take me from here, and I'll let you touch anything you want!" She blushed a little as she said it, a lick of blonde hair falling into her pleading eyes.  Miyu took her hand off the door and stepped back, sliding her hands in her pockets as her eyes scanned the girl. It was hard to tell what she had to offer under that thick kimono.  "Show me your tits," Miyu said quietly.  The girl blushed to her hairline, but as if she was used to such requests, she shyly fanned her pale lashes down and pushed open the collar of her kimono, letting it sag open to reveal one of her perky breasts.   -- Miyu looked around to find the little fox scowling up at her. "You never did like me, Jun. What's your deal?" she asked, sliding her sunglasses on her nose. Jun scoffed. "Not everyone has to like everyone." She jerked her head at the teahouse. "If you're here to see Izumi, she's waiting for you. She had a feeling you'd come crawling back, bug that you are." Miyu frowned. "I ain't come crawling back," she said irritably around the e-cig. Jun raised her orange brows. "Sure, you ain't," she said sarcastically. "Just like I'm sure Shira didn't kick your sorry ass out either. Did Koharu give you that bloody kisser? Nice." Miyu tensed, then pushed herself away from the car and ripped the e-cig from her mouth. She didn't know what she was going to do or why Jun had always gotten under her skin so easily. Probably because Jun wasn't afraid to hurl the truth at her and never had been. She looked down at the smug fox with hatred through her sunglasses and fantasized about kicking her away like a football.   -- "I'm here because I need your help," Miyu said a little loudly, and Izumi stopped laughing to regard her with interest.  "Oh?"  "I know your help has a price," Miyu went on unhappily, "and I'm willing to pay it, whatever it is."  Izumi stared at Miyu intently. "This is about that cat-girl, isn't it? The one the gangs are fighting over. Nozomi has been insufferable since Koharu got away with her." She rolled her eyes.  "I know you don't want to cross Nozmoi—"  "Please," said Izumi at once. "I'm not afraid of that discount, video game crime boss."
