When Micah Stone left work late one night he had no idea he started down a path that would change the fates of more worlds than his. Micah Stone is a poor man working on the toxic world of Caustik, a world whose society is sharply divided between highcarders who have everything they want and lowcarders, like Micah, who do not. After working late Micah finds himself on an impromptu date with his lovely coworker Jenn. Their evening is rudely interrupted by three drugged-up highcarders with a personal hatred of Micah and too much time on their hands. After defending himself and Jenn Micah is jailed and faced with two choices: a years-long death sentence or military enlistment. After Basic Training he draws an assignment to Caustik's roughest, most brutal military unit. Despite the odds stacked against him he succeeds and excels and soon works his way up the ranks. Overwhelmed by enemy forces and betrayed by a cowardly commander Micah finds himself booted out of the military and facing his full sentence, again. Thanks to intervention by the League Consul on Caustik Micah enlists in the League Drop Marines. There he discovers the horrible truth about his former unit: it is a dirty unit that routinely completes missions no civilized person would condone. Now haunted by the demons of his past Micah works to excel, and does. On the world of Ceto, outside the League, Micah's unit suffers a catastrophic ambush by evil Consortium forces. After leading a rag-tag detail of survivors to strike a crippling blow against the invaders Micah faces his history repeating itself.

The Semids are a peaceful people and staunch friends and trade partners of the League since the formation of their Federation of Worlds. When a group of interstellar terrorists detonates a nuclear bomb at the dedication of their Peace Spire the Semids call on the League for help tracking them down.   Micah Stone and his team embark on a journey of action, intrigue and interstellar trade to track down the ones responsible and bring them to justice. The strangeness of the cultures and the planets they encounter is almost as bad as the foes they seek and they must learn to adapt quickly or face death through sheer ignorance. At the end of their journey the League agents find a 'civilization' of interstellar barbarians willing to wage war at the drop of a hat. Then, to their disgust, they discover that the barbarians are operating at the orders of the real enemy and that enemy is almost impossible to defeat!

Robin Macy is a data technician more comfortable in the virtual world than in the real one. Shy and mild-mannered, she shows her true skill when her online boyfriend desperately sends her a file then vanishes. When she shows her skill trying to track him she attracts attention and ends up kidnapped by a charismatic sociopath with expensive tastes who forces her to commit data-theft. She is rescued by two people almost as scary as her kidnapper and must join forces with them in order to reassemble her life and clear her name. Uncertain of who she can trust Robin must navigate a path of intrigue and danger with only herself and her skills to keep her from prison, death or a fate worse than either.

Failing a mission can cost Micah Stone his life, nothing new about that, but this time success might cost him his best friend! Of late, the League Navy has suffered a suspicious increase in the number of defective starship parts they receive. These parts fail only during combat, when they're needed most, and often with fatal consequences. Micah, his teammate Vera Kidwell and his old friend John Thompson are sent on an unsanctioned and very under-the-garble mission to find the source of the faulty parts. The trail leads them inside the League to the Worlds of the Crown of Stars.   The Starcrown Sector is a long-time League member-system organized around a feudal government with a King and many Noble Houses. Each of these Houses has its own agenda, enemies and allies, and petty political maneuvering and intrigue are second nature to their members. Micah and his friends must navigate this labyrinth of innuendo, implication, plot and counter-plot in order to locate the ones sabotaging the League. It is a maze of deception where nothing is as it seems, friends can look like enemies and enemies can be invisible.   When the team finally untangles the knot enough to see the path they must travel, Micah makes a horrifying discovery. The only thing standing between him and success is the lives of his friends!

The Coalition of Grakis Major has a long-standing custom of inviting League volunteers to help monitor and collect data for its elections. Now, though, its economy is near-disaster and only getting worse. Micah Stone and his team are assigned to assist a candidate who may just be able to change things. Young, charismatic and full of hope, he's also an advocate of increased League trade and is willing to ask for help.   After a few suspicious incidents, the team begins to suspect more than meets the eye. After an investigation made harder by the Byzantine nature of Grakian politics, unions and crime cartels, they discover the elements of a massive, shadowy conspiracy. If it reaches fruition it will damage the League's economy and destroy that of Grakis Major and many others between them.   Unfortunately for the team, the conspiracy is inextricably linked to the one candidate who seems destined to win. In order to stop this, Micah may well be forced to go rogue and violate one of the League's strongest laws!

It's a royal wedding to lift the heaviest of hearts! When newlyweds Micah and Jenn Stone depart on their honeymoon cruise it is with expectation of many wonderful surprises and delicious desserts. They find those and more! To their great delight, the League-famous stars of the Lethal Max movie series are traveling with them: Arn Ironhand ('Lethal' Max Mayhem himself), Melinda Willis (Trixie Slick, Max's hard-fighting sidekick) and Johan Klaus von Dike (The Nefarious Doctor Vortex, Max's arch-foe). Also aboard are their favorite musical stars: Danny Charles, Jon Treyston and Charlie Stringer. All of them are bound for a goodwill tour of the Semid Federation.   Disaster strikes just before they land on the luxury resort world of Kathros. Their ship is hijacked and all her passengers taken hostage! Micah has little more than his wits and what he can improvise in order to inform his friends of his plight and, somehow, effect a rescue. Worse, in order to save Jenn he must push her away and show the part of him she has never seen before. Micah must face a madman bent on revenge and even if he and Jenn survive, what comes afterward may well shatter them both!

Illegal drug smuggling is a huge and persistent problem between the League and the Metazan Republic, especially in the Lost Angels sector which borders it. Matters reach a head when the niece of the sector chairperson and her fiancee die from it the night of her graduation. The Sector Senator, at the behest of the Chair of the Lost Angels Governance Board, demands a full investigation of why such a tragedy should occur with special attention to the failure of League Intellgence and the Patrol to prevent it.

When an innocent girl dies trying to get an autograph from her favorite movie stars it is a tragedy and a crime. When sensitive League military data is discovered in her possession it is a call to action for Micah Stone and his team. Their mission leads them from a glamorous gala full of movie stars and other celebrities to the shadowy worlds known as the Kensie Free Systems. There they discover a conspiracy fraught with illegal drugs, stolen weapons, kidnapping and worse. They are building an army suitable for conquering entire planets and the systems that hold them.   Micah's only way into this group is through a brutal so-called sport named BloodRing. Death is common there as the holders of obscene wealth and power gather stables of fighters to do battle for their owners' pride and profit. Here he must navigate a maze of intrigue and violence as he works his way toward finding the source of the stolen League intelligence.   Matters take a dark turn when he and his friends are abducted. It's up to Micah to rescue them all, starting with himself. Doing so leads him into combat with a man just as skilled as himself and twice as deadly. Past this he discovers two terrifying facts: the assassin he faced is not human and he is not alone. Within a stone's throw of the Consortium lies the source of these creatures and it is up to him to stop them.
