About this series

Sarah called up her friend Christine in hysterics and not knowing what to do.

"Oh Christine!! What am I going to do!!?" She blurted over the phone.

"I am so screwed. No job, my kid is super sick, Oh my GOD!! Does that mean I'm losing my insurance too!! Oh Christine!!!" Sarah began to just sob no longer able to get any words out.

"Oh, honey. There, there. It's going to be okay. I know you don't feel like that right now. But I promise you it is. It is all going to be okay," Christine said to Sarah in a groggy voice. It was obvious that she was still hung over from the night before. Tom quietly slipped out of bed and exited the room with his things, having no desire at all to become this lady's knight in shining armor or even a shoulder for her to cry on. He had another busy night of work to get ready for and more ladies to find for fresh fucking that night. He got dressed and slipped out without Sarah so much as even noticing she was in such hysterics.

Sarah continued to cry as she held the phone up to her ear, still wrapped in the blankets of the bed. She had felt Tom slip out but didn't care and was relieved when she heard the door click behind him as he left. The last thing she wanted to do was have to deal with this with some random guy, much less some guy that probably didn't really care anyway.

"Oh Christine…" She started into the phone.

"Look honey, calm down. Run yourself a bath and clean up and I'll be right over. It's going to be okay I promise," Christine said as she hung up the phone.

Sarah lay under the covers and knew that she had to get up and keep going. Despite every bone in her body wishing that she didn't have too. She wanted to lay there wrapped up in those blankets and just cry and die and not have to deal with any of this. It was all so horrible. What if she lost her kid next? She shuddered to even think about it and let out a whole new wave of sobbing and tears. Finally the crying slowed and he pulled her head off of the damp pillow. Her matted hair clinging to her face from the dampness of her tears, resisting the strong urge to lay back down underneath the fluffy blanket she dragged herself out of bed and to the bathroom and began to run herself a hot steamy bath so that she could cleanup and make it to the hospital to check on her daughter once Christine had arrived.

She soaked in the steamy waters for about 30 minutes. Taking the times to wash her face and body carefully and even rinsing out her hair. She felt like she was ill she had drank so much the night before, or maybe it was the lack of sleep, or the extra exerted energy from all of the fucking, or possibly (and most likely) it was the stress. Whatever it was it felt like a thousand boulders weighing her down but she continued to get ready. She had finally gotten dressed and gathered her belongings and was about ready to head out the door without her friend when she heard a knock.

"Christine?" She asked.

"Yup, it's me love. Let me in!" Christine said muffled by the large door.

Sarah went to the door and let her friend in, Almost collapsing in her arms, the tears starting to well up again.

"There, there," Christine comforted her as she gave her a big hug and wrapped her arms around her tightly. She had never quite realized how much larger Christine was than her until she had her face squished into her breasts like she did at that moment. Sarah pulled back and wiped her tears.

Sarah bounced through the halls of her high school on her way to her locker to get her gym bag. She was so excited for the homecoming game she could barely contain herself. She and the rest of the cheerleading squad had been working for weeks now on their halftime routine. She grabbed her gym bag out of her locker and headed to the locker room to change. She walked in the locker room and found her girlfriends. Excited about the game they laughed and gossiped about the boys at school as they got ready. "So what do you think about the Amanda Trey fiasco?" one of the girls, Helen asked the group. "What I want to know is how Sarah plans on dealing with her Matt and Ryan fiasco," said her best friend since the third grade, Christine Clark. "Oh yuck, I don't want to talk about that right now," Sarah said. "Oh you mean you don't want to talk about you two most favorite people?" Christine teased her. "Ugh, fine since you're making me. Basically they are horrible, always staring and gawking at me from the back of the science lab. They are such freaks. Matt is the worst and is always trying to find some excuse or reason to talk to me. He's been doing it so much that even and the other football players made some snide comment about him being my puppy dog. He even asked me to homecoming, with flowers!!!  Like I would even go with someone as nerdy as him. It's terrible! I can't stand him," Sarah told the girls. "But enough of that. It's game time. Let's get out there and cheer girls!" and the rest of the squad followed her out onto the field.  They cheered on the team as the game progressed. It came time for the halftime show and the girls took the center of the field and flawlessly performed their show. The home team wound up winning the game and that night Sarah got to make-out with her big crush Evan. Geez those were the days she thought as she smiled to herself. She was so much younger and had so much more hope for her future back then. Dreaming that she would someday make it big as a fashion designer. She had wanted to go away to design school after her senior year of high school but wound up staying at the local community college so that she could stay close to her high school sweet heart. Even and Sarah had continued their relations past that first night of making out and dated all the through high school and into college. During their sophomore year of college he had asked her to marry him. Young and in love and very naive she said yes. Just knowing that he was perfect for her. Even though so many signs throughout the years had told her that he was no good. It started in high school. The rumors that he was sleeping with other girls. One time she had even caught him kissing her friend Helen. That night had not ended well and she and Helen's friendship ended forever. But Evan did as most men do and begged and pleaded and promised that he would never do anything like that again and she had stupidly believed him. The truth was he did stuff like that all the time and continued abuse her trust in their relationship, sleeping with almost whomever he could get his hands on behind her back. Sarah was blind with love and enamored by his coolness and his good looks so she continued to play the fool unknowingly for years. Matt leapt out of bed and looked around to find something to throw on quickly. He couldn't believe that she had left so early. He had planned on having his chef cook them a giant breakfast to enjoy in bed together and then he would drop her off at the cosmetic company on his way to the energy plant. Why had she left? What had he done wrong? Frustrated at not being able to find his favorite pair of boxers he threw on his favorite slacks over his birthday suits and headed out the door to find Sarah. Perhaps she was just up early and in the kitchen already with his cook he hoped to himself. He rushed down the stairs, almost tripping over the bottom on and cursing out loud as he landed on his left foot awkwardly. Ignoring the sharp pain that shot up his legs he kept hurrying down the long hallway to his kitchen. "Shin!" Matt called out as he burst into the kitchen, the doors swinging widely in his wake. "Good Morning, coffee?" Shin asked calmly.   "What? Coffee? I don't want coffee right now. Where's Sarah?" Matt asked frustrated. "Sarah? The girl you hired at the cosmetics company?" Shin asked sipping on his morning tea slowly. "Yes, that Sarah. Did you take her home this morning?" Matt asked frantically. Upset that his hope of her being in the kitchen had not turned out to be true. "Who me? I didn't even know that you brought her home last night and I just got up. It must have been the driver. In fact now that you mention it I didn't see his car out there this morning but maybe he's parked it in the garage. Do you want me to go check for you?" Shin asked Matt. Matt didn't even wait for Shin to finish his sentence before he ran out of the kitchen and back down the hallway. He ran into the foyer and threw open the large front door to look for his chauffer and his car. They were nowhere to be seen. His car however was still parked at the bottom of the steps where he left it. He looked at his pants and cursed again. Running back up to his bedroom he put on a suitable outfit for work and back down to the car to find Sarah and do damage control on whatever it was that she was feeling. He hopped in his car and sped off toward the cosmetic company. He knew that she would be there, she didn't want to lose her cushy new job that she had just landed for herself and her daughter. At least he was able to find her easily he thought to himself as he passed the doors to his estate and continued on down the road. Thinking about what he would do and say to assuage her feelings and help her to feel better. He really did love her, so very much. He knew about her pain and hurt from her ex and her daughter being sick in the hospital and he wanted more than anything to provide a life for her where he could take care of all of her small worries so that she could focus on the big things in life and enjoying time with her daughter and him. And maybe even one day having a child of their own. He was getting a little too far ahead of himself though, first he had to find her and make sure that she was okay after their night together.
