About this series
What do you get when you’ve run out of sane ideas on how to deal with your mother?
A situation that has disaster written all over it.
Rena
Rena Salinger has a good life. She is self-employed as a web designer and gets to work from home. She has the greatest two best friends any girl could ask for. Plus, she lives in a great apartment complex rent-free. So, her life really is the stuff of dreams. Well, only if you discount the fact that she has a smother-mother, and that she hasn't had sex in months. Other than those two things, she's happy as a lark.
Knowing that her mother is determined to marry her off to her best friend's son, that just gives Rena another reason to avoid her mother (not that she needed one). Rena would rather become a cat lady over marrying her mother’s perfect pick for her. Not to mention, it's not a good look to be planning a wedding to one man while you're secretly fantasizing about another. Not a good look at all.
Jackson
Jackson St. James is a pediatrician and a damn good one. He's also gorgeous, kind, and has a wonderful family. He'd rather work with children than grown adults because...well, grownups sucked. Jackson lives for his patients, and that’s how he likes it. Nothing feels better than helping, healing, or just spending time with a child. Jackson didn’t even mind the long hours.
Still, with his two younger brothers falling in love and getting married, his mother is really putting the screws to him. In his mother’s opinion, being the oldest, he should be married with a couple of kids by now. However, dating was kind of hard with the hours he kept and not many women liked to share their time. Plus, a certain blonde has caught his eye and he had no desire to look away just yet.
When jumping to the wrong conclusion does its thing...
After her mother invites her to an honoring ceremony, Rena starts on a desperate mission to find a guy to play the perfect boyfriend. Desperate to escape the matchmaking, when Jackson offers to help her out, Rena jumps at the chance to spend more time with the sexy pediatrician with the tatted-up body.
After hearing Rena’s insane plan to scour the internet for an escort to some fancy party that’s honoring her mother for charity work, Jackson steps in and puts a stop her crazy plan and offers his help. While Rena might think he’s just helping her out, Jackson’s looking to make things with her real.
Certain that her mother is going to drive her over the edge, Rena finds herself looking to Jackson St. James to protect her from all her mother’s crazy. Certain that he has finally found the woman of his dreams, Jackson finds himself ready and willing to do whatever it takes to make Rena his.
Good times.

What do you get when lack of sleep turns you into a raving lunatic? The most embarrassing moment of your life. Lyrical Lyrical Rodgers lives a simple life. She manages a pet store, has a fantastic family, a great best friend (you only need one), and lives in the apartment of her dreams. Well, the dreams she can afford. The only dark spot in her rather happy life is her new neighbor. He's a jackass, parties all night, and has no regard for anyone other than himself. He's also sleeping with the building manager, so he's no help. Fed up from lack of sleep, no sex, and extreme annoyance, Lyrical reaches the point of having to choose between confronting her rude neighbor and Thall Shall Not Kill. After checking where Thall Shall Not Kill falls on the list of Commandments, Lyrical storms over to his apartment and lets loose. (Spoiler Alert: she goes with confrontation instead of Thall Shall Not Kill). Nixon Nixon St. James is successful, wealthy, good-looking, and comes from a great family. On paper, he's a fantastic catch. In person, he could benefit from a semester-or two-at charm school. A prominent architect and real estate developer, Nixon has it all...uh, his temper notwithstanding. Apart from his penchant for going off the rails every now and again, Nixon really has no complaints. So, when Nixon has to evict his newest tenant and fire his building manager, he decides to channel his anger and frustrations into fixing up the mess that his tenant made of the apartment himself. With the help of his brother, they get to repairing the damage and cooling his temper. However, Nixon's not prepared for when a petite brunette storms into the apartment and gives him a piece of her mind. When jumping to the wrong conclusion does its thing… After Lyrical unleashes weeks of sleep-deprived anger on her new neighbor, she heads over to her best friend's apartment (one floor above hers) and tells her all about it. However, as she goes into further detail, it starts to become clear that she may have cussed out the wrong person. After Nixon gets the verbal lashing of his life, he's not sure which issue to address first. How does he convince the angry spitfire that he's not gay, not straight pretending to be gay, or not gay and having an affair with his brother? I mean, he's been accused of a lot of things in life, but this? This is crazy. Certain that she's going to be evicted for cussing out the building owner, Lyrical calls on her best ninja skills to avoid Nixon St. James. However, certain that he's in love and there will be no one else for him ever, Nixon does whatever it takes to corner Ms. Lyrical Rodgers. Good times. NOTE: This book contains adult language, adult situations, explicit sexual encounters, and an imaginary trip to Minneapolis. If sensitive to any of the aforementioned issues, please do not purchase.
- How to Keep Your Job: A Modern-Day Woman's Guide
2
What do you get when you let annoyance get the best of you? A fake fiancé who just might not be all that fake. Alice Alice Rodgers has always been a good girl. She’d done well in school, she had excelled in college, and she has also managed to stay away from surprise pregnancy tests all her life. Alice is also a gifted scientist who works in the medical field. Now, if you can just ignore the fact that she's getting sexually harassed at work by her sleazy new boss, Alice seemingly has the perfect life. Realizing that she really needs to find a way to stop the harassment at work, Alice finds herself dividing her time between coming up with a solid plan to end sexual harassment all around the world and drooling over her newest extended family. With her sister recently getting married, Alice’s new brother-in-law comes with some brothers of his own. One whom she wouldn’t mind seeing naked. A lot. Lincoln Lincoln St. James has always been the easygoing brother, and he excelled at living two different lives. In the courtroom, he was a ruthless defense attorney who took no prisoners when he went to war. Afterhours, he was charming, charismatic, and knew how to laugh-at his brothers mostly-but still. Lincoln’s life was pretty perfect, and he truly had no real complaints. Still, when his mother starts demanding grandchildren (thanks to his brother’s recent nuptials), all Lincoln can seem to think about is his new sister-in-law's sister, Alice. If he’s going to get anyone pregnant, he wouldn’t mind it being Alice. However, soon, he finds out that she's being sexually harassed at work, and he comes up with the perfect solution to both their problems. When jumping to the wrong conclusion does its thing... After Alice decides she seriously needs to come up with a solution for her problem at work, she heads to the library for research. However, once she submits to the fact that she has no idea what she’s reading, she doesn’t object when the St. James brother that she wants to see naked offers his help. After Lincoln learns of Alice’s issues at work, he decides to help her, and it has nothing to do with the fact that he’s already planning on making her his baby’s mama. However, as he learns more about her boss, he begins to wonder how good he’d be at defending himself against assault charges. Certain that she’s going to lose her job when her boss begins to really show his true colors, Alice wonders if Lincoln St. James can really help her. However, certain that it’s true love and he and Alice Rodgers are going to live happily ever after, Lincoln shows her just what he’s capable of. Good times. NOTE: This book contains adult language, adult situations, explicit sexual encounters, and a sweet five-legged spider named Steve. If sensitive to any of the aforementioned issues, please do not purchase.
