This is the continuing story of a group of gay friends in Houston, Texas. This book picks up a few months after the ending of Bearly Obsessed when Brett, the 12 year old nephew of one of the guys shows up unexpectedly, and the adventure begins. Brett never knew his father, and his mother died when he was an infant. It is up to the guys to do what they can to reunite him with his father, but will that be possible? This also pushes someone to search out their father, after finding out the one they grew up with wasn’t their biological dad. One of the guys’ new boyfriends ends up being psychotic. After a breakup he begins to harass and stalk the ex. He mistakenly thinks that Brett is his ex’s nephew, thus a new target is now on the horizon. Brett’s new life in a big city isn’t turning out as he expected. Some gay-bashers hit Montrose during this time, so the real detective in the group is put to work in trying to get these attackers off the streets. A new friend joins in the hunt, but when he’s caught in the crosshairs, will Lyndon be in time to save him. And Coy goes to his first Bear Event with Paul. What trouble will they get themselves into?

A hurricane hits the Texas Gulf Coast, and Galveston is pummeled. Uncle Henry’s Bed & Breakfast is hit hard, and during the storm he is killed. Ronnie finds out about his uncle’s death and soon becomes the new owner of the B & B. The group is there to support him so they all take some time off from work and travel down to Galveston. The cleaning, repairs and remodeling goes smoothly until a grave is discovered. Shortly after that, strange things start happening, including sounds coming from the attic and stationary items moving without assistance. They delve into the history of the body found in the grave, and unexpectedly begin investigating a hundred year old mystery. Lyndon and Tom provide assistance, while Steve does some digging of his own and discovers a New York connection. A decision is made to try and explore the supernatural connection to the things happening at the B & B and the grave found on the property, so Paul finds a medium who comes and helps them with a séance. What happens is more than any of them anticipated. During the investigation, many questions are raised. Could Uncle Henry’s death have been foul play or possibly supernatural related? How did the grave end up on the property instead of a cemetery? How does the Great Hurricane of 1901 come into play with this mystery? Could a murderer reach from the grave and do them harm? How will they find the answers to the questions asked? And will Kevin lend a hand and help them answer the one big question; do ghosts really exist?

What happens when a terrorist becomes a part of the group? What happens when love blossoms with someone within the group and this terrorist? And what happens when the terrorist's past catches up with him? This year will see those questions answered, as well as see Lyndon face a challenge like no other, and he will do something that could cause him to lose his job. His actions may also cost someone their life, as an arsonist aims for homes in Houston. The guys also discover a mysterious chest that supposedly holds clues to a secret fortune. They are put to the tests to figure out the clues left behind by an unknown philanthropist . Will X mark the location of something valuable, or will they just be wasting valuable time? This will be a year like no other, as someone in the group will lose someone close to them and their life will change in ways that he can't even imagine. Christmas will bring much more than holiday cheer, and Houston loses one of its bears.

The Bear Chronicles journey concludes with everyone going on a cruise together, including Vera. Of course, trouble rears its ugly head as one particular passenger is targeted by pirates. Will they be able to stop these raiders, or will the series end with a bang? Love also rears its head, as new relationships bloom during the spring. However, will these unions hold together for happily every after, or will some misunderstanding end them before they have a chance? Kevin was the one responsible for the creation of this group, and has done what he could to reach out and help when possible, but that also comes to an end.
