When Alf develops a crippling migraine, Bert is on his own and a mob of thieves take advantage. As Alf's brain disorder worsens, Trevor Cloud offers a drastic operation that will either make him superhuman—or kill him!
- White Noise
One professor. Two aliens. Three timelines. A yellow bathroom sponge could forever link their destinies and save our universe. Professor Maurice Masterson is Europe's head of extraterrestrial investigation and incomprehensible phenomenon. He's attended many séances where spiritualists claim to receive messages from the spirits. Part of his work is to keep an open mind and investigate such cases. So far in his career, he's exposed each testimony as a hoax. But then his bodyguard declares an alien has possessed him; an alien with a mission to save our universe from imminent collapse. The alien needs help, involving a journey through space and time—and a yellow bathroom sponge.
- Gypsy Spell
Gypsies set up camp on the Cloud Estate, protecting themselves with powerful magic. Eviction by brute force proves useless, so Alf and Bert, the two burly security guards, compose a few tricks of their own.

Take this short story as a warning, hide it from terrorists, and pray it never comes true
- Yoikes
'Idle hands are the devil's tools'. Twelfth century saying. Alf and Bert, security guards, play with an experimental gadget that transports them back to the twelfth century. Frightened to tamper with history, they tread carefully–at first. Unable to withstand the challenge, they enter a tournament, fight with knights, and forget the threat to history.
- Pest
The prettiest snakes have the deadliest venom. Aren't they just a pest? Alf and Bert, the Cloud Mansion's security guards, are gifted with limitless brawn and gumption. A cunning pair of con artists have never failed to swindle their victims. When forces clash, only one side can win. The con artists fight dirty, but the security guards have a few tricks up their sleeves...

I was born in Essex, England, in 1951.My early days of work as an engineer led me to Norway where I met my future wife Kari. She moved to England where we married and raised our two daughters. We moved back to Norway in 1985.My wife and I now live far in the north, well within the Arctic Circle, in the land of the midnight sun. Life here is slow and comfortable, blessed by unspoilt nature and its magnificent moods.Being creative in the written form gives me vast pleasure. I hope, dear reader, you will take a break from your world and lose yourself in one of mine.
