    In a castle that lies outside of a little town something evil lurks in the shadows. No one knows it's there for sure, but there are stories. But there are those that ignore the stories and have made this old run down castle into their own play ground.

    Marco, Carla, and their friend Sammie, have played at the castle many times without seeing anything, but when people start going missing the castle is where the town's people cast their sights.

    The children ignore the stories and their for ignore the danger. But on a particular day they decided to visit the castle like they always do, they will find themselves running for their young lives.

      This is the story of Marco and Carla, and their friend Sammie. Young children in a town where weird things seem to happen all around them. Marco always wants to know why something is happening, so he is a total sucker for a mystery and he always have to solve them. Carla and Sammie are always dragged on Marco's mad cap adventures and where they are always running for their lives while saving others. The brother, sister duo along with Sammie take on all kinds of adventures in the series and always put on a brave face. In this adventure the children find themselves trying to solve the mystery of why three of Carla's friends have disappeared in the mysterious Forest of Faces. The children venture into the forest to find clues as to what happened to the girls, but find themselves in danger of becoming victims of the shadowy figure that lies in the forest.

    Shamara is the author of "The Adventures of Marco and Carla" series and "What Happened to Kerbie Walobee?" She has a talent for writing stories that either send a chill down your spine or take you on a fantastic adventure. Originally from Port Royal, Jamaica, Shamara draws inspiration from the stories she made up as a child. She reminisces about the adventures she and her brother have been on and adds a touch of fright to make them even more enjoyable for readers. While starting by writing for teens and adults, Shamara now focuses on writing stories that are geared toward creating an exciting reading experience. Two of her recent releases, "The Receptionist" and "Altered Genesis," are currently available on Smashwords and have garnered significant attention. Alongside her writing career, Shamara is also a full-time teacher in New York and is currently working on her latest project.
