For those not watching television, non-white people in the Congo announced a failed coup attempt that allegedly involved US citizens - some of them classified as White. This stunned Gus as the best film of the #SIFF2024 was Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat - which examines how Whites around the world conspired to assassinate Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba and lied about having done so. In fact, this stunning documentary includes a current critique of billion dollar conglomerate Apple's mining operations in the very same Congo. In the midst of the failed coup lawyers announced they have further evidence of Apple's corrupt practices extracting the mineral wealth of Africa - which is what Whites have done on the continent for centuries.
