Lisa Marie Rollins will share her views on the System of White Supremacy. Lisa Marie Rollins is the Founder & Executive Director of Adopted & Fostered Adults of the African Diaspora (AFAAD) - an international nonprofit organization which connects, supports, and advocates for the needs of the African[non-white] adoption and foster care community. Ms. Rollins is a non-white female who was adopted by White parents. She will share her views and research on how adopted and foster non-white children are impacted and potentially harmed by being placed with White caretakers - transracial adoption. Ms. Rollins will also address the droves of Haitian children who are being plucked from the rubble and placed with White adopted families. AFAAD has released a public statement in opposition to the removal/adoption of Haitian children. We'll also make time for a discussion of interracial relationships.
