Nature gives us many gifts, some we understand and many we don't. This is one of those cases that we don't. The Mogwai are an unusual creature that few are familiar with. When one man comes across one, he is informed about some specifics that must be followed but he'll do anything to have it. When he gives the Mogwai to his son for Christmas, his lack of knowledge is about to doom the entire town. There are three rules that must be followed: He doesn't like bright light and Never expose him to sunlight because it will kill him, Never ever get him wet, and Never feed him after midnight. Those seem simple, don't they? Well, it's harder than you think. The unthinkable happens and Gizmo (the Mogwai) gets wet and spawns more of the Mogwai. These new creatures aren't as innocent as Gizmo. They're about to wreak havoc on the entire community of Kingston Falls, NY. To make matters worse, it's all happening right before Christmas. Will they be able to get them under control? You'll only have to see this to find out. It is both intense and slow as it is portrayed. There are multiple errors that can be easily observed with paying close attention but the comedic nature of the creatures do a lot to keep your focus away from them. A cute movie that may not be for all audiences but will become a cult sensation for years to come.
