In the US and Canada, Black History Month takes place during the entire
month of February and is dedicated to remembering and recognizing important
people and events of African descent.
While we still have a long way to go in order to reach equality, it’s
important to recognize the accomplishments and contributions that have been
made throughout history by prominent figures such as Martin Luther King
Jr., Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, and Jesse Owens among many others.
