Trevor Maxwell is the founder and CEO of Man Up to Cancer, a support community that inspires men to connect and avoid isolation during their cancer journeys. He is also the author of “Open Heart, Warrior Spirit: A Man’s Guide to Living with Cancer.” Trevor has been living with stage IV colon cancer since March of 2018. He has undergone seven major surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a clinical trial. Trevor Maxwell shares his personal journey of being diagnosed with stage four colon cancer at the age of 41 and the impact it had on his life and family. He emphasizes the importance of community and peer support for men going through cancer. He also discusses the challenges of isolation and the negative consequences it can have on mental health, relationships, and medical outcomes.
