Description
EPISODE 42 of ‘All About Art’: Ministry of Arts Podcast Crossover with Gary Mansfield
This episode is a podcast SPECIAL, because it is a crossover episode with Gary Mansfield, founder and host of the MINISTRY OF ARTS podcast (so after you listen to me interview Gary here on All About Art, head over to his podcast here to tune in to him interviewing me!)
Gary has had quite the unconventional introduction to the art world. He came into contact with the arts during a 14-year prison sentence he was serving. Listen in to hear him tell me about what it was like to encounter the arts in that atmosphere, and how it impacted him. Gary is a practicing artist himself, so we also talk about his methods of making and what moves him to create his work. We chat about inclusivity in the arts, what needs to change, and how his nearly 200 episodes of interviews with various artists and cultural practitioners have influenced his view on the sector.
Thank you Gary for the collaboration, it was so much fun!
