Description

Friends of the Rosary,
In today’s Gospel of Luke (Lk 24:13-35), we read the marvelous passage of the disciples being enlightened by Jesus on the road to Emmaus.
He said to them,
“Oh, how foolish you are!How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these thingsand enter into his glory?”
The two disciples did not understand the explanation of Our Lord's act of self-emptying himself out of love, even unto death, taking upon himself the sins of the world to take them away — the mystery of redemption through suffering.
Jesus explained this first to them, and then:
"He took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him,but he vanished from their sight."
The Eucharist made present His love — more powerful than sin and death.Jesus was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.
Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will!
