In our first episode, we discuss how we came about starting the podcast, what we hope to achieve, how we understand the phrase "in media res," and how the German terms "Streitkultur" (rigorous but respectful dialogue)  and "Stammtisch" (spaces and times of informal communal gatherings) inform our particular approach.
