Heavy lake-effect snow downwind from Lakes Erie and Ontario; moderateto heavy lake-effect snow over the eastern U.P. of Michigan.Light to moderate snow over parts of the Northern High Plains onWednesday.There is a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms over parts ofFlorida.A front moving off of Florida will create showers and strong to severethunderstorms over Florida. Therefore, the SPC has issued a Marginal Risk(level 1/5) of severe thunderstorms over parts of Florida through Tuesdaymorning. The hazards associated with these thunderstorms are frequentlightning, severe thunderstorm wind gusts, hail, and a few tornadoes. ByTuesday, the showers and thunderstorms move off the southern tip ofFlorida as the front moves offshore.Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Ohio Valley into the Northeast willmove off the Northeast Coast by Tuesday morning. Additionally, upper-levelenergy will move over the Great Lakes into the Northeast on Tuesday.Furthermore, a second front moving south and eastward from Central Canadawill move over parts of the Northern Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley onMonday evening, moving to the Great Lakes by Tuesday and to the NortheastCoast by Wednesday. The energy, and later the front, will aid in creatinglake-effect snow downwind from the Great Lakes through Wednesday. With thefront, moderate to heavy snow will develop over the eastern U.P. ofMichigan Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Additionally, heavy lake-effectsnow develops downwind from Lakes Erie and Ontario. Further, moderate snowwill develop over the higher elevations of the Northeast through Wednesdayevening and snow showers over parts of the Ohio Valley and the CentralAppalachians through Tuesday afternoon.Along the western end of the front moving out of Canada, snow will developover parts of the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains overnight Tuesdayinto Wednesday.Moreover, an upper-level low over the Southern California/Southwest willslowly move eastward to the Southern High Plains by Wednesday evening. Theenergy will produce snow and lower-elevation rain over parts of theSouthwest and Southern Rockies, lingering through Wednesday afternoon. Asthe energy moves out of the Rockies, showers and thunderstorms willdevelop over parts of the Southern Plains. Farther north, a dissipatingfront moves near the Pacific Northwest on Wednesday into Wednesdayafternoon and will produce rain over parts of the Northwest.
