Description

WELCOME BACK!Hey, Fellow Babies! We've finished all of Season One!! Woo-hoo!! We thought we'd celebrate the turn of the seasons with something EXTRA.  If you heard our "Young Master Carlson" episode, then you're already very aware that Marcus Issoglio (aka "Sparky Marcus") is a NUT! This guy is FUNNY! We had a great time Zooming with him for about 90 minutes one Saturday afternoon. That interview was the source of the comments you heard in our "Young Master Carlson" podcast. Although he did not set out to be a child actor (it was all mom and dad's doing) and he did NOT have a good childhood because of his job...Marcus still amassed some amazing stories. As much as he didn't enjoy the life of a child actor, he WAS working in the middle of an era many call the "Second Golden Age" of Television. He met and worked with stars who both were, and  have become, huge icons. We set out to limit our interview to his experiences on WKRP.  The rest of his career was not a fun time, so no need to bring any of THAT up, right? Ah, but things got loose...we started talking...and he started remembering these AMAZING stories!! When it was all through, we not only had everything we needed for the podcast, we had SO much more! After getting Marcus' approval and permission, we decided we HAD to let you guys hear this stuff!! It's not ALL WKRP...but, wow, there is a lot of KRP mixed in there. Just when you think we're done with KRP...we go right back!!A tip: even if you're not into the interview...you HAVE to stay until the "Star Wars" story. Seriously, listen to the "Star Wars" story, then you can shut it off. It is TOTALLY worth the wait!Enjoy, Fellow Babies!! Next time you hear from us, we'll be back on the MTM Lot and Season Two will be getting underway!! Talk to you then!!  - Allen & Donna   WATCH ALONG DETAILS...[Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! We highly recommend the 'Shout Factory' boxed DVD set of the entire WKRP series. For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog"  episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. The Shout Factory complete series box has a release date of 2014. All individual seasons of Shout Factory disks were released starting in 2015.]Hey Fellow Babies!! We talked to Gary Sandy. Don't miss our exclusive interview with Andy Travis now available from the WKRP-Cast. Wherever you get your podcasts.THE WKRP-CAST IS IN RE-RUNS!!
