Degenerates Andy S and Brandon Bombay play chess, not checkers when they jump into 'Training Day.' Andy starts the pod off by telling the story of the time he "got wet" and overindulged on angel dust, which led to a psych ward visit — and much like Ethan Hawke in this movie, things only worsened from there. Then the guys dive in and try to make sense of this wildly popular film that was an amalgam of rap videos, low rent hood movies, and a dash of PSA-messaging that somehow earned Denzel Washington his first Best Actor win. It all makes for an entertaining episode cause "King Kong ain't go s*** on this pod!" 

'Training Day' is a 2001 American crime thriller film directed by Antoine Fuqua. It stars Denzel Washington as Alonzo Harris and Ethan Hawke as Jake Hoyt, two LAPD narcotics officers.
