Degenerates Andy S and Brandon Bombay throw some punches at 'Fight Club' while wondering how this movie became so popular. Bombay reminisces about the time in high school his mom caught him in a compromising position with his girlfriend. Both hosts recall times in their youth when they were given recipes to turn homemade objects into fireworks — or just things that would go bang. Then the fellas try to make sense of just why this movie permeated the cultural zeitgeist, and lament the wasted committed performances from Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter. Don't worry, we don't make any hacky "The first rule of..." jokes in this episode. 

'Fight Club' is a 1999 American film directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter. It is based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. Norton plays the unnamed narrator, who is discontented with his white-collar job. He forms a "fight club" with soap salesman Tyler Durden (Pitt), and becomes embroiled in a relationship with an impoverished but beguilingly attractive woman, Marla Singer (Bonham Carter).
