Hello! I’m Amelia Parnell and I like talking about college. I like it so much that I’ve created this podcast, called Speaking of College. For over 15 years, I’ve researched and written about college and I’ve worked with students and professionals on college campuses. I live and work in Washington, DC, which allows me to constantly engage with policymakers, journalists, scholars, and others about some of the biggest issues to date, which include the rising costs to attend college and the changing ways in which learning happens.These experiences and discussions have helped me realize that for many people, an important way to maximize the college experience is to simply understand how it works. So, on this podcast, I’ll invite experts to join me for conversations where we will break down some of the most complex topics. Every time I think about my investment in a college education, I remember some of the most enriching experiences I’ve ever had. I want that to be the outcome for as many people as possible.
